Dr Doug Hayward initially trained as a game ranger however realised veterinary science was a better long term career option.
He undertook his undergraduate veterinary training at the University of Pretoria (Onderstepoort) in South Africa, worked as a small animal general practitioner in South Africa and England for 6 years and then decided to pursue a career in veterinary clinical pathology, training at CTDS Laboratories in England with externships at Bristol, Edinburgh and Cambridge Universities.
Doug attained Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists in England in June 2009 and joined Vetnostics in October 2010. Doug has over 15 years of clinical pathology experience with particular interests in haematology, biochemistry and endocrinology.
