About
Emma completed her undergraduate veterinary degree at the University of Sydney in 2013, and worked as a small animal general practice clinician for over 5 years in various locations in Australia and the UK. Emma decided to become a pathologist early in her veterinary career and subsequently completed her masterate and residency training at Massey University in 2022. The following year, she became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (Anatomic Pathology) and is a registered specialist in this field.
Emma has broad interests in neoplasia, immunopathology, companion animals and avian disease. She has completed and published original research on ovine paratuberculosis, causes of mortality of kiwi and avian malaria in kiwi (Apteryx spp.), and continues to actively contribute to veterinary literature through case report publication and peer review.
Emma is motivated in helping clinicians to achieve optimal outcomes for patients and enjoys collaborating with veterinary professionals on cases.
