Dr Lucia Yu is a board-certified specialist in small animal internal medicine. She graduated as a veterinarian from the University of Queensland in 2012 and worked as a general practitioner for some years before pursuing her passion in small animal internal medicine. This career journey has included a rotating internship at the University of Sydney, followed by a small animal internal medicine residency at the U-Vet Werribee Animal Hospital through the University of Melbourne. During this time, she has also a completed post-graduate degrees including a Master of Veterinary Studies, and a Master of Veterinary Science investigating outcomes of oral radioiodine treatment in feline hyperthyroidism. Lucia became a Diplomate of the Amercian College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2021 and continues to have a special interest in all aspects of small animal endocrine disorders. Currently, Lucia works in private clinical practice, where she enjoys collaborating in a multi-disciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcome for her patient and their owners.
