I have had the pleasure of working in the wonderful field of veterinary pathology for over 25 years as both an academic and diagnostic pathologist.  I am a University of Queensland graduate (BVSc), who fell in love with pathology as a kid (for those old enough, the TV show Quincy MD inspired me).  Most pathologists I knew had a PhD, so I obtained mine via University of Queensland and University of New South Wales in the field of FIV in the mid to late 90’s - sprinkled with 3 years of private practice as a dog/cat veterinarian.  In 2000, I accepted a lecturer position at University of Melbourne to learn my trade as a pathologist, sitting at the feet of the great Prof Jubb.  I sat memberships in pathobiology with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in 2002 and then collected anatomic boards in 2010 (ACVP) whilst working at North Carolina State University in 2009 - 2011.  I spent 4 years as a general pathologist at Vetnostics Qld from 2013 – 2017 before moving to City University of Hong Kong, 2018 – 2025.  I sat at the feet of Prof Allan Kessell and successfully collected clinical boards (ACVP) in 2021 during the COVID years.  I am now back on home Aussie soil, ready to assist clinicians in their care of animals.  I love both clinical and anatomic pathology, I have a deep love of teaching and never tire of learning from my colleagues.  So I look forward to working together for the betterment of science and medicine.
